Hello everybody! It’s been a while since I last shared with you, but I am committed to being more present here from now on.
Today, I am thrilled to provide you with a significant update from our hand-made workshop in Ukraine. Despite the challenging circumstances that have unfolded since February 2022, our passion for creating exquisite wool finger puppets .
In the face of adversity, we embarked on a journey to find innovative solutions to keep our cherished puppet-making activity alive. And, I’m delighted to say that we’ve succeeded. As of now, all our talented creators are working from the safety and comfort of their own homes, where they can dedicate the time and attention needed to bring our delightful wool puppets to life.
Allow me to introduce you to the rebranded identity of our project – « Ta-Ta Puppets. » This name was the result of a collective brainstorming session with my incredible international team. You might be wondering, « Why ‘Tata’? »
The name ‘Tata’ holds special meaning for each of us. For me, it evokes the vibrant atmosphere of a circus or theater, where the audience exclaims « Ta-Ta! » in amazement when witnessing a magician perform something truly extraordinary.
Furthermore, during my exploration of the Georgian language, I discovered that ‘Tata’ translates to ‘ant.’ In my Belarusian language, ‘Tata’ carries the significance of ‘father.’
In the upcoming posts, I promise to unveil the captivating story of « Ta-Ta Puppets, » introducing you to our incredible team, sharing stories of our special clients, and showcasing some of the unique and extraordinary puppet orders we’ve had the privilege to create.
